UNLEASH, 2018 

UNLEASH is a global initiative envisioning to build the world’s leading platform for novel and scalable solutions to reach the SDGs. Each year leading up to 2030, 1,000 hand-picked talents will come together for an immersive 10 days of co-creation to develop smart solutions to the SDGs.  

In 2018, UNLEASH took place in Singapore focusing on Food and Agriculture (SDG2), Health and Wellbeing (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12) and Climate Action (SDG 13).   

Dalberg Media is a key partner in UNLEASH and is involved in conceptualization, design, sourcing of experts and facilitators, execution and follow-up.  

As of November 2018, 2.300 talents from 143 countries have been mobilized and equipped to become leaders of tomorrow through two consecutive UNLEASH Innovation Labs. 370 tangible solutions for the SDGs have been developed and 250+ experts, mentors, investors and facilitators have supported the UNLEASH innovation process.  

UNLEASH aims for widespread impact within global development, but focuses specifically on three pillars:  

i) 2.800 solutions will be developed between now and 2030, making UNLEASH a leading platform for the generation of innovative SDG-solutions,  

ii) UNLEASH will mobilize roughly 14.00 top talents from across the world, creating a large-scale SDG community of next generation leaders, and  

iii) a growing ecosystem consisting of private, public and civil society organizations will be engaged and benefit from UNLEASH through access and participation in the SDG community.
