Director - People & Culture, Dalberg Advisors

Jean Mutabazi is the People & Culture Director for Africa, based in Dalberg’s Nairobi office. She is a fellow certified accountant (FCCA) and brings more than 17 years of expertise in audit, digitalization, business process re-engineering, risk management, compliance, accounting, and human resources. She has dedicated her career to refining organizational processes that improve efficiencies, build cohesion, and create overall competitive advantage.

Before joining Dalberg, Jean was Chief Operations Officer at FSD Uganda, where she brought the previously outsourced Fund Management function in-house, revised all operational policies to reflect post-Covid-19 business best practices, and —together with fellow members of leadership— helped the organization navigate a difficult transition. A technology enthusiast and strategic thinker, Jean led the adoption of machine learning in data cleaning and implemented data-driven decision-making at the National Social Security Fund where she held both Head of Operations and Financial Controller roles. Previously, she worked at AAR as the Finance Controller and before that with Ernst&Young (EY).

Jean holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Edinburgh Business School and is currently pursuing an MIT Sloan Executive Certificate in Strategy, Innovation and Technology. She is a member of the Housing Finance Bank in Uganda’s board and chairs the Audit Committee.
