Kelsey Finkelstein is the Chief of Staff and Business Development Manager at Dalberg Capital, based in the London office. In her role, Kelsey supports Dalberg Capital’s managing partner and senior team members with a wide range of business development and marketing initiatives for the firm and across the Dalberg platform. Over the past five years, she has been responsible for the firm’s proposals to prospective clients, presentations for conference participation and media coverage. She interacts on a day-to-day basis with our extensive network of key clients and partners ranging from private impact investors, to family offices, and development agencies, and performs our client impact survey.

Kelsey also drives Dalberg Capital’s thought leadership and external relations, including for at the firm’s announcement of HUGinsure (the world’s first social impact insurance platform) at the Clinton Global Initiative in 2013; and the investor launch of the Cameroon cataract impact bond in January 2016. In 2016, Kelsey led Dalberg Capital’s work within the GIIN task force on “Holding Company Structures for Impact”, facilitating the demand side needs assessment and articulation of successful case studies and key lessons learned. She is currently supporting the development of our education financing facility called LEAP.

Before joining Dalberg Capital, she worked at the Albright Stonebridge Group in Washington, DC, a global strategy firm, where she was responsible for growing the newly-created energy and environment practice. Kelsey also previously worked at UNESCO on a trans-boundary water negotiation project to help member countries and stakeholders improve their negotiations skills to better manage shared water resources. In addition to building her impact investing and international development expertise over the past five years, Kelsey has extensive foreign policy experience, having spent time working for Senators Joe Biden and Edward Kennedy, at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution, and on the 2008 Obama Presidential Campaign.

Kelsey holds an M.A. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University with a concentration in International Business Relations and Natural Resource Management, and a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara in Political Science and History.
