Associate Partner, Dalberg Advisors

Rhobhi Matinyi is an Associate Partner in Dalberg’s Johannesburg office, where she works on strategic planning, market entry and growth strategies, performance evaluation and implementation. Rhobhi’s area of specialty is healthcare, and she also has extensive experience in financial inclusion, agriculture, and education and youth employment. 

Prior to Dalberg, Rhobhi was part of the founding team of the African Leadership Academy in South Africa. She has worked in various capacities within the global health sector, including as an HIV/AIDS program co-ordinator with Vital International in Ghana, and as a research and development associate for The Forsyth Institute in Boston. Robhi’s experience includes serving as a researcher at Yale University’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS.

Rhobhi holds a Master of Public Health with distinction from Yale University, where she was awarded the Lowell Levin Award for Excellence in Global Health. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Wellesley College, Massachusetts, where she was a Jerome A. Schiff Research Fellow based on her research in healthcare financing in African countries. Rhobhi is a fellow of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) and a graduate of the United World College in Norway.
