Steve Kisakye is an Associate Director of Dalberg 3D and a co-Office Director based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Steve currently leads a 3D team implementing a government support program designed to transform the agricultural sector through business management principles, with the aim of a driving a ‘business unusual’ culture. He also does extensive work within the health and conservation sectors.
Steve joined Dalberg from Acacia Mining Plc – one of the largest African focused mining companies with operations in Tanzania, Kenya, Mali and Burkina Faso – where he served as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility. In this role, he oversaw all activities related to social risk definition, impact management and social investment, leading a staff of over 50 across multiple locations and a social investment budget of over $10 million a year. Prior to this, he worked extensively across Africa with development organizations including Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) and The Clinton Foundation, and undertook collaborative work with UN Agencies, PEPFAR, Global Fund and a number of African governments and ministries.
A socio-economic development and program management practitioner; Steve holds a Public Health qualification from Makerere University, a postgraduate qualification in Business Management from the University of Cape Town – Global Business School and an accreditation in Community Relations practice for the extractive industry from the University of Witwatersrand.
