Gaurav Lakhotia is the Global IT Director at Dalberg Advisors. With over 23 years of experience, he leads the firm’s global IT strategy and operations, overseeing infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, cloud modernization, AI initiatives, data governance, and digital transformation across the Americas, Europe, Africa, MENA, and APAC. He is a member of Dalberg’s Global Management Team and plays a pivotal role in aligning technology with the firm’s mission of driving systemic change for a more inclusive and sustainable world.

Since joining Dalberg, Gaurav has led the modernization and strengthening of the firm’s global technology landscape. He has spearheaded the implementation of a global cybersecurity architecture, significantly enhancing first-line IT support while introducing enterprise-grade solutions including Microsoft Intune, CrowdStrike Falcon, Netskope, Commvault, ManageEngine Endpoint Central, and Proofpoint to improve data protection, endpoint security, and operational resilience.

Gaurav has also established and institutionalized Dalberg’s IT governance framework, developing the firm’s Global IT and Data and AI Use Policy and Information Security Management System (ISMS). His work encompasses policies on access control, encryption, vendor security, business continuity, and responsible AI use, while advancing the firm’s readiness for GDPR, Privacy Information Management Systems (PIMS), the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act).

He has led several enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, including the implementation of DocuSign as Dalberg’s global eSignature platform, the rollout of Fastlane and Think-cell across the firm, the introduction of data classification labels to strengthen regulatory compliance, the automation of global HR and Legal workflows using Power Automate, and the launch of the Power BI Global Reporting project to enable real-time analytics across Dalberg’s global offices.

Beyond technology, Gaurav is deeply committed to building high-performing global teams and fostering inclusive leadership. He manages a globally distributed IT function and has led the hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of IT managers and analysts while strengthening internal capabilities in cybersecurity, data analytics, HRIS, people analytics, and digital workplace solutions.

Prior to joining Dalberg, Gaurav held senior IT leadership positions at KPMG, G4S Security Services, JCPenney, and Hitachi, leading enterprise technology, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, compliance, and vendor governance initiatives. His expertise spans IT strategy, cloud and infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT service management, data privacy, digital transformation, enterprise AI adoption, and cross-border regulatory compliance.

Gaurav holds certifications in ISO 27001 and ISO/IEC 20000 implementation, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Citrix, Proofpoint, Microsoft technologies, ITIL v3, and PMP training, and has completed advanced training in data security and IT strategy. He is based in New Delhi and collaborates closely with Dalberg’s leadership across regions to ensure technology remains a key enabler of the firm’s global impact.
