As birth rates fall across India and life expectancy increases, how is the country to grow?
In this article, Vibhav Mariwala, a senior policy advisor at WisdomCircle, writes that mobilizing the country’s ageing population is key. Currently, India’s more forward-thinking states are engaged in managing ageing communities by devising policies. While this is important, it’s equally critical to enable older citizens to work longer. He cites a survey by WisdomCircle and Dalberg that found that half of the respondents aged 55-80 years across India were open to working even after “retiring.”
