We use the economic, mobility, and social features of mobile phone data to build models that estimate multi-dimensional poverty indices or food security indices with a high degree of accuracy, at low cost and in real-time. We can further identify croplands, analyze crop conditions, estimate yields, etc. by surveying the evolution of greenery indicators in satellite imagery. By combining telecom data and satellite imagery, our tools can identify potential early warning signs of food insecurity and inform on efficient resource allocation.
