Gender lens investments can generate benefits for women while also improving outcomes forchildren.

New guidance from UNICEF, developed in collaboration with 2X Global, introduces a framework that connects UNICEF’s Child-Lens Investing (CLI) approach with the 2X Criteria, the global standard for assessing gender equity investments. Supported by Dalberg, the guidance helps investors use both lenses to identify opportunities that benefit women and children.

A dual lens can help investors:

  • Ensure workplaces have safe working conditions for young workers and support women’s access to income stability and career advancement.
  • Promote supply chains that are safe, equitable, and responsive to the needs of women and young workers.
  • Encourage design, development, and marketing of products and services that respond to the needs of women and children.
