Bringing diverse experiences from three major global hubs with a combined wealth of experience spanning sustainability strategy, impact capital, gender equality, and urban development, Laura, Shruti, and Marcos are a welcome addition to the Dalberg partnership as we continue to evolve and deliver innovative solutions to complex development challenges.

Laura Amaya, Director of Dalberg’s London office, is a global development leader passionate about market-based solutions for social and environmental challenges.

She advises companies on embedding impact as core business strategy and supports foundations and investors to mobilize capital towards underserved issues. Laura has successfully led numerous projects across geographies, including in her native Colombia. Known for her visionary approach, Laura believes in the power of collaboration across sectors and geographies and has been a driving force behind making the London office a thriving impact hub.  

As a Partner, Laura aims to expand the firm’s global reach while deepening its commitment to impact. Her leadership style, characterized by active listening and a focus on building consensus, will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the organization.

Shruti Goyal, is a Mumbai-based leader at Dalberg, spearheading the firm’s global implementation practice.

Driven by a deep-rooted commitment to social impact, she is an advocate for women’s empowerment and sustainable cities. Her career trajectory, marked by a transition from corporate leadership to development consulting, was inspired by a desire to contribute to a better world for all children.

Shruti’s expertise lies in crafting and executing gender-inclusive strategies that prioritize system transformation. She believes in building a strong business case for such initiatives and is skilled at forging robust public–private partnerships to drive sustainable outcomes. Her leadership style is characterized by a “show the way and ensure that no one is left behind” approach, fostering a culture of open and honest feedback within her team. 

Recognizing the interconnectedness of strategy and implementation, Shruti views Dalberg’s role as a long-term partner, supporting clients in navigating complex environments to achieve maximum impact. Marcos Paya is a driving force behind Dalberg’s growth and impact in Latin America and with impact finance organizations globally.

In his time as Practice Leader and Office Director, the Mexico office has thrived and Dalberg’s global Finance & Investment Practice has grown to be one of the firm’s most established practice areas. He has also helped Dalberg continue its work on inclusion, which has enabled the Mexico office to earn a prestigious workplace recognition for LGBTQ+ equality, three years in a row. Drawn to Dalberg’s unique ability to drive lasting change, Marcos excels in how he uses his time here as a platform to elevate others, build specialized expertise, and engage with leading social impact thinkers. He envisions a future where impact is the standard, not an exception, and advocates for deep technical proficiency in the social impact sector. Marcos believes that impact investing should be integrated into the core of financial systems rather than treated as a separate strategy. His passion for mentorship and his commitment to fostering a positive work environment make him an invaluable asset to Dalberg and the broader social impact community.

Marcos is well known for how he prioritizes feedback and embodies a philosophy of selfless service. His influence extends to overseeing Dalberg’s global ethics and compliance as our Ombudsperson and playing a crucial role in keeping our client strategies on mission.
