Companies operating in resource-intensive sectors often rely on ad-hoc CSR efforts, limiting their ability to drive long-term community impact. We supported an Indonesian mining company to develop a Social Impact framework based on its new pillars of social impact. The updated framework and tools enabled the Social Impact team to move beyond ad-hoc grants and project-based CSR to more strategically invest ~USD 2 million annually in human capital development, sustainable tourism, and local MSMEs.
