MARCUS HAYMON

Marcus is the Regional Director of Dalberg’s Americas region, which spans 5 offices and 1 strategic presence across the United States and Latin America. As a Partner at Dalberg, Marcus was a founding member and co-lead of the Justice, Equity, and Economic Mobility (J.E.M.) practice. He built a client portfolio focused on developing inclusive economic mobility strategies, designing initiatives to build and shift power, and driving racial equity in the United States and globally.

Marcus has advised leading non-profits, foundations, corporations, and city government agencies working to address systemic and structural drivers of inequity. Recent examples include serving on the Leadership Team for a multi-stakeholder initiative designed to boost economic mobility for individuals excluded from prosperity in the United States; co-directing a multi-year partnership with the WK Kellogg Foundation as the Learning and Technical Assistance partner for their Racial Equity 2030 initiative; and co-developing programmatic and organizational strategies for Sesame Workshop, Blue Meridian Partners, Race Forward, and The Ballmer Group among others. Marcus has also co-published reports and articles on trends in shifting power in the U.S. philanthropic sector.

Outside of Dalberg, Marcus has worked at a number of leading non-profits focused on social and racial justice in the United States including Color Of Change, REDF, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation. He began his career in social impact as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Morocco as a Youth & Community Development Volunteer. He has an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a BA from Yale University. He is a former Council of Urban Professionals Fellow and lives in New York City with his husband and dog.
