Junior Data Scientist, Dalberg Data Insights

Alexander is a Junior Data Scientist at Dalberg Data Insights (DDI) where he works on the development, maintenance, and implementation of tools and systems such as Machine Learning, Software Engineering, and Web Development for projects both within and outside of Dalberg.

During his time at DDI, Alexander has been involved in a diverse range of projects, most recently on engagements that have centered on data sovereignty for smallholder farmers and modifying visualization dashboards and frameworks for clients.  Alexander was also seconded in the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 Delivery and Partnership (CovDP) team where he analyzed Covid-related data to support decision-making on vaccines supply, utilization, financing, and demand.

Prior to DDI, Alexander worked at iLab Africa, Strathmore University’s center for research, innovation, and development.

Alexander has an MSc degree in Data Science and Business Analytics from Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and a bachelor’s degree in business and Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Nairobi, Kenya.
