Anne Johnson is an Associate Partner based in Mumbai. Her focus areas at Dalberg include strategic planning, organizational design and transformation, and multi-disciplinary field research. She supports clients in sectors spanning financial inclusion, economic inequality, gender, and climate. Anne has also served in internal leadership roles supporting Dalberg’s strategic transformation, the firm’s People & Values Committee, and global Talent operations.
Prior to Dalberg, Anne supported multilateral and bi-lateral investment decisions and implementation for the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) inclusive business unit, USAID and State Department-funded education and civil society programs at IREX, economic cooperation programs at UNDP China, and counter-trafficking work at the International Organization for Migration in Tajikistan. She also developed research on public-private partnerships for the Brookings Institution, on impact investing and strategy to launch the US Impact Investing Alliance while at the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation, and on social entrepreneurship for Coca-Cola in Ghana.
Anne holds a Masters in Global Human Development from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and International Studies from Macalester College. She speaks Chinese, and is proficient in Serbo-Croatian and Hindi.
