Associate Partner, Dalberg Advisors

Ben is an Associate Partner based in New York. He brings fifteen years of experience in strategy and social impact working primarily in the U.S., Latin America, and East Africa.

Ben co-leads Dalberg’s US Justice, Equity, & Economic Mobility Practice where he advises leaders on strategic planning, organizational effectiveness and the launch of new initiatives. Recent engagements include developing a strategic plan for Princeton University’s Eviction Lab; supporting Blue Meridian Partners to identify high-impact policy levers for place-based cradle-to-career organizations; serving as interim chief strategy officer for Community Solutions, a field catalyst supporting 100 communities across the U.S. to drive reductions in homelessness; and supporting Los Angeles County in the design and launch of a new economic mobility initiative serving small businesses. Ben has co-authored articles on health workforce equity, care work, and post-Covid small business recovery.

Ben also serves clients on topics of health equity, including a multi-year trend sensing effort with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, a landscaping of innovation in global health for UNICEF, and development of an R&D strategy for new treatments for malaria for a global pharmaceutical company.

Prior to Dalberg, Ben was Director of Strategy for International Rescue Committee (IRC), a global humanitarian organization with an annual budget of $1.3B and 15,000 staff. At IRC he led execution of nearly a dozen strategic initiatives, including a global business development and expansion strategy, policy & advocacy strategy, MEL strategy, and restructures of multiple departments. He also served as head of programs for IRC Uganda, where he oversaw 700 staff and 13 health facilities.

Ben was previously a strategy consultant in the corporate sector at L.E.K. Consulting, was a visiting scholar at NYU’s Marron Institute of Urban Management and has also held positions at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Innovations for Poverty Action, and Partners in Health. Ben currently serves on the board of directors of Community Solutions, and the Brownsville Partnership. He holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business where he graduated with distinction and an undergraduate degree in Urban Studies from Brown University. Ben speaks English, Spanish, and conversational French.
