Associate Partner, Dalberg Advisors

Grace is an Associate Partner at the Dalberg Nairobi office. She works with private, public, and philanthropic clients in shaping their strategies and organizational structures in pursuit of social impact. Previously, Grace served as Dalberg’s Global Chief of Staff where she worked with the global management and operations team to define and execute on strategic priorities for the firm.

Grace works in the nexus of sustainability, technology, and investing. Her work spans various sectors, including agriculture, financial inclusion, and renewable energy, where she supports clients to mobilize capital and leverage technology to accelerate innovations in these sectors, particularly in the Global South. Her clients range from multilateral institutions such as the World Bank, UN World Food Program and the African Development Bank as well as philanthropic institutions such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Mastercard Foundation, and MercyCorps Foundation.

Grace has worked on numerous projects to advance access to renewable energy in Africa across power generation, off-grid solar, and clean cooking. Her engagements include developing an advocacy toolkit for the World Bank Group on clean cookstoves, assessing the socio-economic impacts of adopting ethanol cooking fuel for households in Kenya, analyzing factors that influence the adoption of LPG fuel in low-income households in Africa, and structuring a debt fund for the Africa Development Bank to provide capital for renewable energy projects in Africa.

Within agriculture, she has worked on multistakeholder initiatives such as Digifarm and Farm to Market Alliance to provide end-to-end services to smallholder farmers across East Africa. These initiatives have brought together private, public, and philanthropic organizations to provide smallholder farmers with inputs, loans, extension services, and access to market in a bid to improve their livelihoods.

Prior to joining Dalberg, Grace worked at Morgan Stanley’s Equity Capital Markets group within the Equity Derivatives team and at Equity Bank Foundation. Grace holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration from Oxford University Said Business School.
