Jean-Charles Guinchard is an Associate Partner in Dalberg’s Paris office, where he leads efforts in the Digital and Tech for Good sector, working with private, public and philanthropic players to accelerate the use of digital and tech-based solutions in support of the SDGs. He also specializes in environmental sustainability and agriculture, with a focus on initiatives and models mixing biodiversity conservation, sustainable development for local communities and animal welfare.
Having led projects across Europe, MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa for international institutions, governments, NGOs, investors and private sector clients in sectors including financial services and energy, Jean-Charles’ core competencies include strategic planning, organization effectiveness and governance redesign, and change management.
Jean-Charles recently led the feasibility study of a new innovative Fund aiming at providing better funding to biodiversity reserves in Africa. He also led the Dalberg team who helped the MasterCard Foundation’s Rural and Agricultural Finance Learning Lab write the “Pathways to Prosperity” state of the sector report, identifying agenda-defining priorities to bridge the persistent finance gap for smallholder households and agricultural SMEs.
Prior to Dalberg, Jean-Charles was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company, where he developed a depth of experience in leading projects in complex political environments. He is highly skilled at managing high-level stakeholders’ priorities and agenda, and in driving hybrid teams to deliver tailored solutions that advance positive change. Jean-Charles graduated with a Master in Management from HEC Paris, majoring in Strategy.
