Lamia joined Dalberg in 2020, in Dakar. With over a decade of experience in strategic and management consulting, her expertise encompasses digital transformation and economic development across diverse regions, including Europe, North America, and Africa. She has advised a wide spectrum of organizations, including private, public, multilateral, bilateral, NGOs, and foundations.
At Dalberg, Lamia has been involved in a range of projects across Africa, with a primary focus on strategy and program design. Her work has spanned areas such as financial inclusion, assessment of agriculture value chains, the implementation of digitally enabled field force agents in agriculture, initiatives for employment among youth and women, and contributions to the field of climate change.
In Senegal, her notable accomplishments include assessing and creating a specialized fund for SMEs offering mezzanine instruments and designing a strategy for creating youth and women employment across multiple value chains. In West Africa, she led multi-country projects with large and complex research mobilizing primary and human-centric design approaches to assess the barriers and opportunities of financial inclusion in West African Economic and Monetary Union countries and other countries in Africa.
In the realm of climate change in Africa, she led an in-depth research and analysis to evaluate the progress made by African countries in implementing their Nationally Determined Contributions and their capacity to mobilize climate finance. She also worked with a development agency to assess the potential for private sector engagement in the Mano River Union countries (Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone) and supported the development of a private sector engagement strategy and an investment facility focused on biodiversity.
Before joining Dalberg, Lamia held the role of Managing Consultant at Capgemini Invent, focusing on digital strategy, transformation, and data strategy. She led projects across Europe and North America, serving clients in the Life Sciences, Banking, and Public sectors.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Lamia is dedicated to practicing and teaching yoga, fostering a serene workplace atmosphere, and supporting initiatives like the Dalberg Minds initiative. Lamia holds an MBA in International Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Corporate Strategy from Paris Dauphine University in France. She is fluent in both French and English.
