Madhuri transitioned from a career in the private sector spanning investment banking, capital and risk management to join Dalberg in 2020. Her motivation was to engage in addressing some of the most systemic challenges by channeling her private sector and emerging markets’ expertise. 

At Dalberg, her portfolio of work is focused on agriculture and food security issues and financial inclusion, with a strong underpinning of applying a gender and power lens to ensure that the way we work with clients and for our communities recognizes, addresses, and aims to close and prevent such gender and power inequalities. Within agriculture and food security, she has supported various large-scale and in-depth value chains for private sector actors for increased investments in the sector to improve production in an efficient manner while generating employment and increased incomes. Within financial inclusion, she’s worked with private, public, and non-profit actors to understand the landscape and needs of financial services and products and design them to serve customers better. Her portfolio of gender work includes topics of agriculture and financial inclusion, in addition to work on care models, research on women entrepreneurs on the African continent, and the intersection of gender and climate change.

Prior to Dalberg, Madhuri worked at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. She has a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Delhi, a Master’s in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and a Master’s in International Business from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
