Mukhtar is an Associate Partner in the Dalberg Addis Ababa office where his work spans a broad range of development areas, including industrialization, labour markets, agriculture, and environment. He has provided advice on strategy, design of new initiatives, and organizational effectiveness.
Mukhtar’s work with governments include developing national policy agendas, identifying and packaging investment opportunities, and advising on private sector development. Mukhtar has worked with the Government of Ethiopia to help analyze the major trends of the country’s labour market and support the development of a National Plan of Action for Jobs Creation. He has also worked with the Ethiopian Investment Commission to design policy interventions that have the potential to drive competitiveness of Ethiopia’s textile and apparel industry.
Mukhtar holds a Master of Law and Diplomacy degree from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Policy from College of the Atlantic.
