Zarina Nteta is an Associate Partner in Dalberg’s Americas region, based in Toronto. She is passionate about finding ways that donors and philanthropies can strengthen local systems, institutions and human capital – to drive resilient and scalable solutions across their desired impact outcomes. She brings this lens to the way she works across Gender, Organizational Effectiveness, and Education to Employment.
At Dalberg, she’s supported several large foundations to develop strategies that build equity into their grant making in Africa, resulting in more localized partnerships. She’s designed an early childhood development portfolio in Latin America for an education-focused foundation that anchors strongly on community actors. She’s also supported several leading philanthropies, across Asia and Africa, to define their investments around nurturing women’s entrepreneurship.
Prior to Dalberg, Zarina was a lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright. She holds an M.Phil from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (also University of Cape Town).
