Charlie is an Associate Partner based in Nairobi and the global co-lead of the Education to Employment Practice. As a qualified secondary school teacher, Charlie is passionate about combining his deep sector expertise and strategy experience to ensure every child is given access to quality education.
Charlie has worked with the Kenyan Government to develop national policy agendas on youth employment and a national strategy for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). He supported the President’s office (PASU) in their role as co-hosts of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) replenishment campaign which raised over $4 billion for global education projects. He co-leads the USAID-sponsored Education Finance Network, leveraging non-state resources to create inclusive, high-quality education systems.
Charlie has also worked extensively in areas including digital agriculture and gender. Prior to Dalberg, Charlie worked in the education practice at PA Consulting, set up and ran a social enterprise in Sierra Leone, and taught History and Economics in a London secondary school as part of the Teach First program.
