Daniel Omollo transitioned from the private sector after over 12 years of handling market research for Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Banks, and Insurance clients to join Dalberg in 2021. His key goal was to be at the center of impactful projects where he could contribute to Africa’s pressing challenges through research. Presently, he is the Director, Primary Research in the African region and is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
As Director of Primary Research, he is responsible for overseeing various forms of research in Africa and the Middle East. His passion for impact research is fueled by personal experience and he seeks to ensure equality for all through evaluation and impact measurement of programmes and interventions. His core areas of expertise are financial inclusion, energy and education where he has had the opportunity to support clients such as the International Development of Research Centre (IDRC) to evaluate the impact of first language on young school-going children in Francophone markets and the Global Alliance of Clean Cook Stoves (GACC) to measure the impact of biofuels on households in rural Kenya, Nigeria, and Bangladesh.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Egerton University, along with a Master’s in Demography from University of Nairobi.
