Director and Head, Dalberg Implement

Steve Kisakye is a Director and Global Head of Dalberg Implement (3D) based in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.  As a new and rapidly growing entity, Dalberg Implement aims to support various clients by bringing Dalberg’s strategy and advisory offerings to life. This is typically achieved through the deployment of top talent to work directly with clients in a bespoke manner that allows for sustainability and impact to be accentuated.

Since joining Dalberg, Steve has led multiple teams including one that is implementing a government support program designed to transform the agricultural sector through business management principles, with the aim of a driving a ‘business unusual’ culture. He also does extensive work within the health and conservation sectors.

Steve joined Dalberg from Acacia Mining Plc – one of the largest African focused mining companies with operations in Tanzania, Kenya, Mali and Burkina Faso – where he served as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility. In this role, he oversaw all activities related to social risk definition, impact management and social investment, leading a staff of over 50 across multiple locations and a social investment budget of over $10 million a year. Prior to this, he worked extensively across Africa with various development organizations including Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) and The Clinton Foundation, and undertook collaborative work with UN Agencies, PEPFAR, The Global Fund and a number of African governments and ministries.

Steve holds a Public Health qualification from Makerere University, a postgraduate qualification in Business Management from the University of Cape Town – Global Business School and an accreditation in Community Relations practice for the extractive industry from the University of Witwatersrand.
