Winnie is a Partner and the Associate Director of Dalberg Implement. Based in Nairobi, she leads engagements with the Mastercard Foundation related to implementation mandates, including the Ajira Digital Project in Kenya.  

Prior to joining Dalberg, Winnie served at the Smart Africa Alliance as the Chief Marketing Officer. Smart Africa is the pan-African push to usher Africa into a knowledge economy through affordable access to broadband and usage of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). This role involved working with numerous heads of state, ministers of ICT, and private sector stakeholders to transform Africa into a single digital market. Winnie’s work with Smart Africa included organizing the Transform Africa Summit, an annual gathering of over 5,000 stakeholders including heads of state. 

Before that, Winnie served as Senior Advisor to two Cabinet Ministers in Kenya. In these roles, she developed and implemented youth empowerment programs. Prior to that, she worked with the Sarova Group of Hotels as the Group Marketing Manager where she conceptualized and developed a new brand direction for the Group, resulting in enhanced brand synergy as well as increased market and revenue share. 

Before returning home to Kenya, Winnie worked for Kaiser Permanente in California, one of the leading integrated healthcare providers globally. There, she was responsible for the creation, implementation and management of projects in the wellness space, including the end-to-end development of new products from ideation to launch as well as the management of cross-functional teams. 

Winnie holds an Executive MBA from California State University as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute of California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Egerton University.
